Dubois is a rural farming communityin Washington County, IL (map). The parish church is St. Charles Borromeo and part of the cluster of Polish parishes in the Diocese of Belleville.

The marriage records occur in three separate volumes. The first is a multipurpose volume described as follows, "1868-1894 Baptisms, Marriages, Confirmations". The second marriage volume is shared with death records, "1887-1899 Marriages, Deaths". the third volume is exclusively marriages,"1900-1931 Marriages".
